Infor Bundled Its Whole AI Story Into One Package. Velocity Suite Is a Bet That Industry-Specific Beats General.
TL;DR

Infor's Velocity Suite rolls industry AI agents, embedded GenAI, process mining, automations and implementation into a single all-inclusive package, with an agent library past 100 and an orchestrator that supervises them. For manufacturers and distributors on Infor, it is agentic ERP sold as a bundle, not a menu.

Infor's Velocity Suite bundles industry AI agents, embedded GenAI, process mining, automations and implementation into one all-inclusive package, with 100+ agents and an orchestrator. It is a commercialisation bet on industry-specific, bundled agentic ERP; the decision optimal for a specific operation remains a companion layer above it.

Infor has packaged its entire AI story into one thing. Velocity Suite is an all-inclusive, industry-specific bundle that combines Infor Industry AI Agents, GenAI Embedded Experiences, Process Mining, Value+ Automations and the implementation work to get from pilot to production. The agent library now runs past 100, and an Agentic Orchestrator adds supervisor-led coordination, native Model Context Protocol connectivity, and observability into how agents reason before they are trusted in production. Alongside it sits real process intelligence: an interactive advisor you can ask, in plain language, where a process is leaking time, and executive Process Insights across sales, purchasing, inventory and payables.

The bundling is the strategy

While much of the market sells agents piecemeal, Infor is selling the whole stack, agents plus GenAI plus process mining plus automation plus services, as a single, priced package. That is a deliberate commercialisation move. It lowers the buyer's decision cost, replaces a science project with a product, and signals that this is meant to be bought and deployed, not evaluated indefinitely. The message shifts from we have AI to here is the whole thing, and here is what it costs.

Industry-specific, again

Like Epicor's vertical agents, Infor is betting on depth in a few industries, manufacturing, distribution and process sectors, over breadth across all of them. The wager is that a generic copilot does not understand a shop floor or a distribution network, and a suite built for one does. It is a credible bet for a lot of operational work, and a pointed contrast with the horizontal agents shipping from the largest platforms.

Process mining is the quiet unlock

The most interesting piece is not the agents, it is the process mining and the interactive advisor. Before you automate a process, you have to know where it actually breaks, and most companies do not, in detail. Automating a broken process simply makes the mistakes happen faster. Mining first, understanding the real variants, delays and compliance gaps, is the right order of operations, and pairing it with agents that can then act on what the mining finds is the genuinely useful combination.

The distinction, for Dynamics teams

A bundle like Velocity Suite executes and orchestrates the industry-standard playbook across your processes, and does it well. What a bundle cannot do is compute the decision that is optimal for your specific operation's data and economics, the margin-optimal price, the safety stock that fits your cash, the layout that shortens every pick. That decision layer sits above the vendor's agents. On Microsoft Dynamics it runs as a companion app in tandem on Dataverse and Power Platform, shipped through AppSource, and it is where Cognilium works. Bundling gets you the industry's playbook. Your own four walls need the layer on top of it.
